This Jamaican cornmeal meal porridge is very easy to make, not too thick, not too thin.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup fine yellow cornmeal

  • ½ cup milk

  • Condense milk (to taste)

  • Sugar (to taste)

  • Pinch of cinnamon

  • ½ vanilla extract

  • Pinch nutmeg

  • ½ cup water

  • Pinch of salt

Directions

  • Add ½ cup of water to pot then add cornmeal and mix
  • Add milk and set to medium heat
  • Add cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg along with a pinch of salt
  • Lower heat and stir and let cook for 6 minutes
  • Add condense milk & sugar (to taste)
