kcalThis Jamaican cornmeal meal porridge is very easy to make, not too thick, not too thin.
Ingredients
½ cup fine yellow cornmeal
½ cup milk
Condense milk (to taste)
Sugar (to taste)
Pinch of cinnamon
½ vanilla extract
Pinch nutmeg
½ cup water
Pinch of salt
Directions
- Add ½ cup of water to pot then add cornmeal and mix
- Add milk and set to medium heat
- Add cinnamon, vanilla and nutmeg along with a pinch of salt
- Lower heat and stir and let cook for 6 minutes
- Add condense milk & sugar (to taste)
