


Country Man – is a very warm and pleasant movie about a peaceful fisherman. This movie almost feels real at times and is a breath of fresh air.

Summary
Countryman is a classic Jamaican Film about a fisherman who helped an American couple who were on the run. The couple were being chased by the police who were framing them for illegal activities.
Countryman sheltered, fed and protected the couple in the hills of Hellshire always reassuring them that they are safe because the hills “have mystical powers mon.”
This movie is at the top of Jamaica’s film contributions and is a reminder of the old Jamaica, the way things used to be. People were more warm and friendly, always willing to help out their fellow man, whether black or white.
Watching the film will invoke a strong sense of community, the people were close like family. The children were taught by the olders
