Equipment

  • Glass bottles
  • Large bowl
  • Wooden spoon

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ginger
  • 8 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 10 cups water
  • 2 cups Carbonated Water (optional to make the drink fizzy)
  • 4 limes

Instructions 

  • Puree ginger and 3 cups water in blender.
  • Pour mixture in a large container with remaining 7 cups of boiling water
  • (use 5 cups if you plan to use Carbonated water)
  • Let it sit for a day.
  • Strain using a fine strainer
  • Add 2 cups carbonated water for fizz.
  • Add juice of limes
  • Add sugar and mix (add more or less sugar based on your taste)
  • Served chilled with crushed ice.
