25 cups water
1/4 pound turnip
5 whole pimento seeds
1 pound beef or soup meat
1 pound pumpkin
1/2 pound chocho (peeled)
1 pound yellow yam (peeled)
1 1/4 pound flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 packets Cock Soup Mix
3 stalk scallion
1 sprigs thyme
1 tablespoons all purpose seasoning
1 whole scotch bonnet pepper
4 clove garlic
1/2 pounds carrot
Directions
- In a soup-pot boil fill it 1/2 way up with water and set the water to a boil. Once the pot starts boiling add beef or soup meat then garlic and thyme. Then add carrot, yam, turnip, pumpkin, chocho, and continue boiling on medium until the meat is tender.
- Dumplings
- Combine flour with 1/2 cup water and knead to make dough. Roll dough into spherical shape (spinners) and add to the pot.
- Remaining of the soup
- Stir in Cock Soup Mix, scallion, thyme, all purpose seasoning, scotch bonnet pepper, salt and pimento berries. Add more salt if needed.
